Helicopter View of the Battlefield
An absolutely miraculous overhead shot of the battlefield in its early stages. Taken by intrepid photographer and amateur balloonist Nigel "Boko" Postlethwaite, it shall surely go down in photographic history. But just what are those huge arms?
This was also the first use of my new battlefield. It's a 36" x 47" piece of foam core board that I've had sitting around for ages. It's done up with sand and colored in the same way as my standard "dark" figure basing. It's not quite finished, but I'm happy with it—except for how foam core tends to warp and curl up and not lie completely flat. Still, I learned some things and will make at least a couple more of them, also in my standard "light", more sandy-colored basing scheme. This also proved to be pretty much the exact right size play area for this game, in my opinion.
